SoHo Music Department
The SoHo Music Department offers private lessons and group classes for both adults and children in Music Theory, Piano, Percussion Instruments, Singing, Preschool Programs and more. Classes and private lessons are in person.

Private Lessons may be taken at the studio, virtually or in some cases at the clients place of residence.

If your child’s school is an affiliate your child may use their vendor funds with SoHo Dance LA. If you would like us to become a vendor for your child’s school please contact us and we will begin the vendor process.
We are currently working on becoming a vendor for Gorman, Sage Oak, and Excel Charter Schools
Deana Johnson
Music Department Director
Deana Johnson is a classically trained pianist. She began her music education and training at the age of 4 under concert pianists and other music educators. Performing, competing, and constant training were the staples of her childhood. She began her career teaching music at the young age of 16, as well as being a sought after accompaniment to group and solo performers.
Deana graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and her CLAD Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Long Beach State University. At this time she began her career as a public educator and continued her music education and broadened her instrument training. Her unique training and experiences in education and music makes her especially attuned to all students needs as the musical director at SoHo. Her passion is to help all ages find, connect, and flourish their many musical talents. For she believes there is a special and unique musician in us all.
